Baku. Ramiz Mikayiloghlu – APA. Baku and the Presidential Administration don’t regard foreign media’s articles against Azerbaijan as an arbitrary action. It seems to us that there are forces behind this process that are deliberately directed. We are trying to determine its reasons.”

Ali Hasanov, the Azerbaijani president’s aide for public-political affairs, made the remarks Thursday during the press conference of the Presidential Administration and the Ministry of Youth and Sports on the First European Games with the participation of the local and foreign media representatives.

Hasanov said that these circles are first of all trying to create an image that young states like Azerbaijan can’t achieve such success.

“Secondly, these forces are the Armenian lobby and NGOs, media and politicians under their influence. They are trying to implement the anti-Azerbaijani campaign related to any issue. We observed it during the "Eurovision" contest and they will put pressure on Azerbaijan during great events from now on. Thirdly, there are forces trying to keep Azerbaijan under constant influence and they also support this campaign. Unfortunately, foreign media, for example, "The Guardian", BBC, that we want to get objective information from, were also involved in this campaign by London Platform. These campaigns are also directed against Europe, the European community and European Olympic Committees. This campaign will stop after a while, but it will remain in the history and progressive community itself will assess it. Azerbaijan's friends in the world are trying to achieve the ineffectiveness of the campaign,” he noted.
