Azerbaijan wins 9th medal in Beijing

Our national team steps forward by 4 ranks owing to the second gold medal Baku.
Agshin Aliyev - APA-Sport. Azerbaijanâ€™s national team has won the next medal in the 13th Beijing Summer Paralympic Games. APA-Sport reports that the national team won the 9th medal thanks to athlete Olukhan Musayev.

29-year-old sportsman won gold medal with a throw of 13.49 meters in shot put. He left behind his Polish rival Kristof Smorcevski by 1.54 meters.

Azerbaijani national has stepped forward by 4 ranks in the list of the countries winning medals. The national team has won 2 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals and ranks the 36th in the list.

Five more Azerbaijani sportsmen will compete tomorrow. The tournament organized for the sportsmen with physical disabilities will be over on September 17.
