Inspection of water supply of Ganja city held in connection with III CIS Games

Monitoring was conducted to assess the condition of the water supply and sewage systems of the sports facilities, central streets and avenues where the III CIS Games considered to be held in Ganja from September 28 to October 8, 2025,  United Water Supply Service of Large Cities under the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency (ADSEA) told APA-Economics.

According to the information, members of the commission created within the service, led by Tahir Khalilov, who is acting as the Chairman of the Service's Board, conducted an inspection of the infrastructure in various directions in Ganja city.

The commission members, who closely examined the current condition of the equipment and machinery at the Water and Sewerage Department, were advised to act more promptly and responsibly ahead of the games.

Tahir Khalilov spoke with the Service’s employees, inquiring about the problems they face. He gave instructions both to the commission members and the staff of the Water and Sewerage Department in this regard.

During the meeting held around the “Round Table,” the work schedules of employees for the days of the III CIS Games were clarified, and the status of the infrastructure according to the map was explained. It was noted that during the days of the games, the water and sewerage department will operate in an enhanced work mode.

The commission members visited the Olympic Complex, Ganja Sports Palace, Shamkir Water Treatment Plant Complex, and the renovated Ganja Stadium. The state of the water supply provision was inspected on-site.
