A delegation of AZCON Holding and Azerbaijan Railways (ADY), which is on a visit to Kazakhstan, familiarized itself with the operations of the country’s leading ports and terminals, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC said, APA-Economics reports.
As part of the visit, the delegation inspected the infrastructure of the Aktau and Kuryk ports, the Aktau Marine North Terminal, Aktau International Container Hub LLC and the Sarzha multimodal terminal, and it was noted that operations carried out at these ports and terminals play an important role in expanding the region’s transport and logistics capabilities.
During meetings with the management of the ports, issues related to further developing cooperation between Baku International Sea Trade Port and the ports of Aktau and Kuryk, increasing the efficiency of cargo handling operations, and organizing digital data exchange were discussed.
The sides emphasized the importance of coordination between the ports in terms of optimizing transit cargo transportation processes and strengthening the competitiveness of the Middle Corridor.
