In the first seven months of 2025, 225 block trains were received from China, which is almost 2 times more than in the same period last year, said Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lu Mei at today's briefing, APA reports.
According to her, more than 400 block trains are expected to be received by the end of the year.
"Since the beginning of this year, China-Europe trains from Beijing and China's Shanxi, Guangdong and Zhejiang provinces on the Trans-Caspian route have successfully departed via Azerbaijan. Tomorrow I will attend the welcoming ceremony of the China-Europe freight train from Zhejiang to Baku," the diplomat noted.
