In Azerbaijan, the metering of drinking water supply is planned to reach 90% by the end of 2025, 95% in 2026, and 100% in 2027, the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency told APA-Economics within the framework of Baku Water Week.
According to the information, the demand for water for drinking and household purposes will be met at 72% in 2025, 74% in 2026, 85% in 2027, 90% in 2030, and 100% in 2040.
At the same time, losses in the drinking water supply sector will be reduced to 35% by the end of this year, to 34% in 2026, to 32% in 2027, to 30% in 2030, and to 20% in 2040.
