Azerbaijan imported about 700,000 smartphones this year

Between January and July 2025, a total of 675,164 smartphones worth 217 million 546.4 thousand US dollars were imported into Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports, citing the State Statistical Committee.

Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, this figure increased by 1.7% or 5.1 million US dollars in value, while it decreased by 12.4% or 95.4 thousand units in quantity. Specifically, during the first 7 months of 2024, 770,523 smartphones worth 212 million 431.9 thousand dollars were imported into the country.

During the reporting period, the average import price of one smartphone brought into the country increased by 17% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, reaching 548 manats. This figure was 468.7 manats in the corresponding period of the previous year.

During this period, smartphones were mainly imported from China (538,877 units), Vietnam (128,101 units), India (7,839 units), and Korea (230 units). The product was imported at a price of 523 manats from China, 627.3 manats from Vietnam, 933.6 manats from India, and 204 manats from Korea.

Note that during the reporting period, 898 smartphones worth 166.4 thousand US dollars were exported from Azerbaijan. These products were exported to Georgia (491 units) and the Czech Republic (407 units), with an average price of 315 manats.
