Azerbaijan gets 25 entries for 10 vessels through Russian inland water in 2009

Baku. Nicat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Russia’s Federal Agency for Sea and River Transport has approved a 20-entry limit for 10 Azerbaijani-flagged ships through Russian inland waters for 2009, said Gudrat Gurbanov, Chief of Azerbaijan State Maritime Administration (ASMA).
He added that 10 dry cargo ships will pass via Volga-Don from the Caspian to the Azov and 10 ships back during next navigation season in accordance with the passage limit.
Russia allotted 25-entry limit for Azerbaijan in 2006 (14 ships via Volga-Don to the Caspian from the Azov and 11 ships back) and 20 in 2007.
Russia has limited passage for littoral states since 2006.
