TRACECA Transport Ministers to adopt a declaration tomorrow

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov â€“ APA-Economics. The TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission National Secretaries and EU experts today gathered in Baku to lay groundwork for the ministerial conference, said Azerbaijan National Secretariat.
The national secretaries had the final discussion on the agenda of the conference.
Azerbaijanâ€™s Deputy Minister of Transport Musa Panahov briefed the participants about activities and projects in the countryâ€™s transport sector.
The anniversary conference will take lace on Dec. 4 with the main focus on TRACECA development, future plans and expansion and other issues.
According to the agenda, the ministerial conference will discuss the following topics: the 10th anniversary of the Basic Multilateral Agreement (BMA) on Development of International Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia â€“ â€œAchievements and Prospectsâ€, â€œthe Expansion of Trans-Transport Network in Neighboring Countriesâ€, â€œthe role of TRACECA in strengthening relations and partnerships between BMA member countries and the European Commissionâ€, â€œThe development of BMAs and organizational strengthening of TRACECA in terms of new opportunitiesâ€, adoption of a decoration of the Anniversary Conference and Transport Ministers of the TRACECA member countries, and the signing of a protocol of the Intergovernmental Commission.
The TRACEA Intergovernmental Commission was established in 1998. Headquartered in Baku, TRACECA joins 12 countries from Europe and Asia.
