The UN has determined the average annual inflation in Azerbaijan at 3.6% for 2025, APA-Economics reports.
This is 2 percentage points higher compared to the UN’s previous forecast.
The UN has also raised its inflation forecast for 2026 from 3.1% to 4%.
However, the organization expects inflation in the country to decrease to 3.5% in 2027.
Overall, according to the UN’s forecasts, inflation in the Caucasus and Central Asia region accelerated in 2025 mainly against the backdrop of rising food prices and expanding fiscal spending. In 2026, inflation in the region is expected to gradually weaken.
