The draft budget of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) for 2026 has been prepared, the Cabinet of Ministers told APA.
A meeting of the Supervisory Board of the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) was held today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Ali Asadov, who also serves as Chairman of the Fund’s Supervisory Board. The draft budget will be submitted to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the agenda included a detailed discussion of the forecast indicators of SOFAZ’s 2026 budget, including the Fund’s revenues, the main directions of the use of its funds, investment policy, the currency composition and profitability of the investment portfolio, as well as other current issues.
A report was delivered at the meeting by SOFAZ Executive Director Israfil Mammadov.
Following the meeting, taking into account the opinions and proposals of the members of the Supervisory Board, a decision was adopted to submit the draft budget of the State Oil Fund for 2026 to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
