As of January 1, 2026, the monetary base in Azerbaijan amounted to 22 billion 470.2 million manats, APA-Economics reports, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
According to the information, over the past month the monetary base increased by 1.5% or 341.8 million manats.
On an annual basis, the monetary base rose by 7.4% or 1 billion 553.7 million manats.
It should be noted that the monetary base includes cash in circulation and bank reserves (free bank reserves and required reserves of commercial banks).
