Georgia increases trade turnover with Azerbaijan

In January-November of this year, the value of trade turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan amounted to 1.21 billion USD, APA's local bureau reports, citing the report of the National Statistics Office of Georgia.

A 2.54% increase in value was recorded compared to the same period last year.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan ranked seventh among the main trade partners of the neighboring country, after Türkiye, the USA, Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, and Germany, with a 5.2% share in Georgia's total trade turnover.

Products worth 638 million USD were exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan, which is 4% less than the year before. Azerbaijan ranked fourth among the main export partners of the neighboring country, after Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Russia, with a 9.6% share in Georgia's exports.

Georgia's import volume from Azerbaijan increased by 11% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 573.3 million US dollars. Azerbaijan, with a share of 3.5%, was the 6th main import partner of the neighboring country, after the USA, Türkiye, China, Russia, and Germany.

In the first 11 months, Georgia conducted trade transactions with foreign countries worth a total of 23.2 billion USD, of which 6.61 billion USD were exports and 16.6 billion USD were imports.
