As of March 31 this year, the current loan portfolio of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Azerbaijan reached €898 million. This represents an increase of 2.3%, or €21 million, over the past month, APA-Economics reports, citing the EBRD.
According to the information, the number of active projects currently stands at 36.
It was noted that 90% (€825 million) of the portfolio consists of investments in sustainable infrastructure, 7% (€63 million) in industry, trade and agribusiness, and 3% (€30 million) in financial institutions. The volume of the Bank’s operational assets in the country increased by 3% to €716 million.
Thus, to date, the EBRD has invested €3.712 billion in Azerbaijan within the framework of 202 projects, and 93.1% (€3.458 billion) of this amount has already been utilized by borrowers for project implementation. The private sector accounts for 40% of the portfolio.
Recall that in 2025, the EBRD allocated €81 million for 10 projects in Azerbaijan.
