Baku to host Microfinance forum

On January 29, the “Access to Capital Markets: 1st Investor – Microfinance Forum” will be held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.

The forum will be jointly organized by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the Association of Credit Bureaus of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Microfinance Association, and the Baku Stock Exchange.

The main purpose of the event is to establish a direct dialogue mechanism between capital market participants and non-bank credit institutions (NBCIs), and to present investment opportunities in the microfinance sector to investors. Within the framework of the forum, NBCIs operating in the regions will share their financial indicators, business models, and investment proposals with potential investors.

The participation of representatives of the Central Bank and other regulatory bodies in the forum will enable an open discussion of the existing investment environment in the sector, the regulatory framework, and key challenges. The event is regarded as an important platform for strengthening cooperation between investors and NBCIs and identifying specific investment opportunities.
