In the first 9 months of 2025, the turnover of mutual tourism services decreased slightly (0.5%) and amounted to 2.7 billion US dollars, APA-Economics reports, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
As a result of the fact that exports of tourism services (1.5 billion US dollars) exceeded imports (1.2 billion US dollars) during the reporting period, a surplus of 0.3 billion US dollars was created. During this period, the number of Azerbaijani citizens traveling abroad decreased by 2.6%, and the number of foreign citizens visiting Azerbaijan decreased by 1.8%. The volume of tourism-related services provided by foreign countries to Azerbaijani residents amounted to 1.2 billion US dollars. 75.1% of this was related to personal trips of Azerbaijani citizens. (excluding funds for shuttle imports).
