The exemption period from import customs duty for TC-1 grade fuel used for jet engines has been extended, APA reports.
This is reflected in the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on amendments to the “Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Azerbaijan, rates of import customs duties, and rates of export customs duties.”
The period of exemption from the 15 percent import customs duty on TC-1 fuel was to expire on December 31, 2025. This period has been extended until December 31, 2026.
At the same time, by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on amendments to the "Excise rates for excisable goods imported into the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan", the period of the preferential excise rate for TC-1 jet fuel has also been extended for the same period. In other words, the excise rate will be 1 manat per ton, not 80 manat.
