The import of works of art, collectible items, and antique objects into the country will be exempt from value-added tax (VAT), APA reports.
This is reflected in the proposed amendment to the Tax Code, which was brought up for discussion at today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship.
According to the draft, the import of works of art, collectibles, and antiques, the list of which is determined by the body (institution) designated by the relevant executive authority, based on a confirmation document issued by the body (institution) designated by the relevant executive authority, will be exempt from VAT.
