In the third quarter of 2025, the volume of money remittances received by Azerbaijan increased by 0.2% to USD 850 million, APA-Economics reports.
This was announced at a press conference held at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan on the balance of payments results for nine months.
For comparison, in the corresponding period of 2024, the volume of money remittances sent to the country had decreased by 33.7% to USD 848.5 million.
It was noted that during the reporting period, the largest share of money remittances received by Azerbaijan came from Russia, with USD 344 million transferred from that country. USD 140 million was received from Türkiye, USD 74 million from the United States, USD 31 million from the United Kingdom, and USD 30 million from the United Arab Emirates.
At the same time, the volume of money remittances sent from the country amounted to USD 361 million, which is 11.5% less compared to the corresponding period of last year.
It was reported that during the reporting period, the largest share of money remittances sent abroad from Azerbaijan was directed to Türkiye, with USD 104 million transferred to that country. USD 55.8 million was sent to the United States, USD 34 million to Russia, USD 20 million to the United Kingdom, and USD 19.8 million to Georgia.
