In January–February of this year, Azerbaijan exported 30.28 tons of black tea worth 265.73 thousand U.S. dollars to Ukraine, APA reports citing the State Statistical Committee.
According to the data, compared to the first two months of last year, this figure increased by 43.9% in value terms and by 45.5% in volume terms.
For information, 2,644.3 tons of tea were produced in Azerbaijan in January–March of this year, which is 6.4% more compared to the corresponding period last year.
In the first quarter, Azerbaijan exported 204.12 tons of tea worth 1.758 million U.S. dollars to foreign markets. Compared to January–March 2025, tea exports increased by 15.1% in value terms and by 18.2% in volume terms.
During the same period, 3,158.63 tons of tea worth 20.378 million U.S. dollars were imported into the country, which is 19.8% lower in value and 23.6% lower in volume compared to the corresponding period last year.
In January–March, the average export price of tea was 14.6 manats per kilogram, while the average import price was 11.1 manats per kilogram.
