Head of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia Irakli Beraya held a working meeting with Azerbaijani Ambassador Faig Guliyev, the Revenue Service told APA's local bureau.
Regionally important projects and bilateral partnership issues were discussed in the context of increasing cargo turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan.
The parties paid special attention to the simplification of customs procedures related to border crossings and further deepening cooperation against illicit drug trafficking, and expressed full readiness to actively continue coordinated work in the future.
During the conversation, the importance of the construction of the "Silk Way" joint border crossing point was also touched upon. It was noted that this project will contribute to the development of the transit potential of the region. The head of the Revenue Service thanked the Azerbaijani ambassador for active cooperation and support.
