In January–November 2025, the average monthly nominal wage of employees in the country’s economy increased by 9.3 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, reaching 1,089.2 manat, APA-Economics reports, citing the State Statistical Committee.
The average monthly nominal wage was higher in the mining industry, financial and insurance activities, information and communication, professional, scientific and technical activities, as well as in the transport and storage sectors.
According to the data, as of December 1, 2025, the number of wage-employed workers in the country’s economy was 1,797.4 thousand, of which 869.0 thousand worked in the public sector and 928.4 thousand in the non-public sector.
Of the employees, 18.6 percent were employed in trade; repair of vehicles, 18.2 percent in education, 14.0 percent in industry, 8.5 percent in health care and social services for the population, 6.7 percent in construction, 6.3 percent in public administration and defense; social security, 4.5 percent in transport and storage, 3.9 percent in professional, scientific and technical activities, 2.4 percent in agriculture, forestry and fishing, 2.3 percent in financial and insurance activities, and 14.6 percent were engaged in other sectors of the economy.
