Annual inflation in Türkiye drops below 31%

Annual inflation in Türkiye has decreased again, APA-Economics reports, citing the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK).

In December 2025, annual inflation stood at 30.89%. In November, this figure was 31.07%. In December, consumer prices increased by 0.89% compared to the previous month.

Note that over the past year, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 28.31%, transportation by 28.44%, and housing by 49.45%.

Recall that inflation in Türkiye reached its highest level in 24 years at 85.5% in October 2022, 75.45% in May 2024, and last year, the highest level of this indicator was recorded in January at 42.12%.
