Future development prospects between Azerbaijan and the OPEC Fund discussed

Within the framework of the Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with President of the OPEC Fund for International Development Abdulhamid Alkhalifa, APA-Economics reports.

The meeting focused on the main areas of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the OPEC Fund, as well as future development prospects. The parties reviewed activities being implemented within the framework of the Country Partnership Framework covering the period 2025–2030.

They exchanged views on efforts aimed at improving water supply, developing social infrastructure and enhancing environmental sustainability. Opportunities for supporting the private sector, promoting investment opportunities and participating in regional connectivity projects were also discussed.
