The Sangachal Terminal is considered the largest oil and gas processing hub of strategic importance in BP’s global operations, BP Transformation and Technology Manager Marianna Karimova said at the “Technovation – Science and Innovation for Sustainable Economic Transformation” event held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
According to her, BP is already implementing its transformation processes in operational activities in Azerbaijan, and these processes cover all of the company’s key assets.
M. Karimova stated that the Sangachal Terminal is the largest oil and gas processing terminal in BP’s global portfolio.
She noted that the company uses smart drilling technologies, unmanned aerial vehicles, robots, and digital twin solutions in its operations in Azerbaijan.
According to her, these technologies make it possible to increase production efficiency, make more accurate decisions, and automate hazardous tasks.
