3566 monumental books registered in Azerbaijan - <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION</font>

After Azerbaijani President decreed to confirm â€œThe rules for official registration of the movables, their compositionâ€, Culture and Tourism Ministry began to find out unique, rare books, publications of special importance and manuscripts in the republic. Press service of Culture and Tourism Ministry told APA that the ministry prepared the Statute on monumental books. The ministry has registered 3566 monumental books up to now. 1320 of them are in the system of Culture and Tourism Ministry, 2002 in the libraries of other ministries, offices and organizations and museums, 244 in the personal collections.

According to reports submitted to the ministry, there were identified 1088 monumental books in the Presidential Library, 577 â€“ in Akhundov National Library, 287 â€“ Baku Universityâ€™s library, 69 â€“ in National Archive Office, 143 â€“ Central Scientific Library of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, 14 â€“ Nizami Literature Institute, 48 â€“ library of the Azerbaijan Technical University, 190 â€“ Azerbaijan Pedagogical University, 36 â€“ library of the Azerbaijan Art and Culture University, 8 â€“ library of the Azerbaijan Languages University, 39 â€“ scientific medical library of the Azerbaijan Health Ministry, 30 â€“ Scientific Technical Library, 50 â€“ scientific agricultural library of the Azerbaijan Agriculture Ministry, 79 â€“ State Theater Museum, 39 â€“ Carpet Art Museum, 4 â€“ State Music Culture Museum, 14 â€“ in the libraries of the Baku Culture and Tourism Office. A number of monumental books were identified in the regional libraries during the register implementation. 244 monumental books from the private collections were included in the register.
