Popular American rapper composes â€œJustice for Khojalyâ€ song - <font color=red>PHOTO</font>

Baku. Elnur Mammadli â€“ APA. A rap-style song â€œJustice for Khojalyâ€ was composed within the international information and agitation campaign â€œJustice for Khojalyâ€. The composers held a press-conference on this occasion, APA reports. The campaign coordinator Elshad Isgandarov said the song was composed by rapper Tony Blackman and orchestrated by Gordon Williams. It was performed by Tony Blackman and Azerbaijanâ€™s â€œDeyirmanâ€ groupâ€.

The song describes realities of Khojaly genocide and calls on the world community to give value to this tragedy and to support Azerbaijanâ€™s fair voice. Contemporary rap rhythms and Azerbaijani mugham and balaban music were used in the composition. The clip will be shot in studio, in the Alley of Martyrs and IDP camps. The song and clip will be presented later February. Isgandarov said the clip would be popularized in a number of countries.

Tony Blackman said at the press conference that he heard about Khojaly earlier, but didnâ€™t know details. â€œI took deep interest during my visit to Baku last November. It is easier to deliver messages by music and I am doing it with great pleasure. I believe that I am doing good causeâ€.
Blackman said he was shocked when heard details of Khojaly. â€œI knew that such events happened in Africa, but I saw it in this region for the first timeâ€.

Gordon Williams also called it important issue to inform the world about essence of Khojaly tragedy.

The Justice for Khojaly campaign was declared on the initiative of the Senior Coordinator of the Youth Forum of the Organization of the Islamic Conference Leila Aliyeva on May 8, 2008. The campaign has been launched in more than 20 countries of the world since last February.

In the end of the press conference, the participants sent a letter to US President and Congress within the Justice for Khojaly campaign and demanded to recognize khojaly tragedy as a crime against humanity.
