Azerbaijan makes one million dollars of donation to Louvre Museum

Baku. Lachin Sultanova – APA. Azerbaijan donated one million dollars to restoration of carpets collection at Louvre Museum. French newspaper “Le Figaro†published on December 8, 2009 information about donations of different countries, private companies and individuals, press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan told APA. The newspaper said a number of Muslim countries, including Morocco, Oman, Kuwait, as well as Azerbaijan, alongside with French philanthropists, contributed to newly-established Islamic art exposition. Louvre Museum said one million dollars donated by Azerbaijan would be spent for restoration of carpets collection.
