Painting exhibition devoted to Baku opens in Azerbaijan State Museum

Baku. Ulkar Gasimova â€“ APA. Painting exhibition devoted to Baku has been opened in Azerbaijan State Museum today, APA reports. The exhibition is held within the framework of the events on the closure of â€œBaku-Capital of Islamic Culture-2009â€.
â€œOne of the important events in the social and cultural life of our city is taking place. The first traditions of Baku, the elements describing the life of our people at different times, painting describing the industry are being exhibited. Baku has been covered by all fields of art and this tradition still continues,â€ director of the Art Museum Israfil Israfilov said.

Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfas Garayev expressed his gratitude to the artists for describing Baku in their works as it is.
Secretary of Azerbaijan Painters Union Agali Ibrahimov said these are the works by the world-famous artists of Azerbaijan. The authors of the exhibition are Rafael Gulmammadli and Deputy Culture and Tourism Minister Sevda Mammadaliyeva. Special representatives of the Organization of Islamic Conference and ISESCO and a lot of guests attended the exhibition.
