Holidays begin in Azerbaijan, APA reports.

This year Azerbaijan will have 5 consecutive non-working days due to National Salvation Day and Eid al-Adha.

June 15 is the National Salvation Day of the Azerbaijani people.

Based on the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers dated December 9, 2023 "On determining holidays for Novruz, Ramadan and Eid al-Adha for 2024", June 16 and 17 of this year have been defined as Eid al-Adha celebration days.

According to the Labor Code, if a weekend and a non-working holiday coincide, the day off is transferred directly to the next working day after the holiday. This year, June 15 falls on Saturday, and June 16 on Sunday, so June 18 and 19 will be non-working days. For this reason, June 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 in a row will be non-working days.
