On the occasion of the 18th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan and the professional holiday of its employees, a ceremonial meeting was held in the administrative building of the Ministry, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan told APA.
The team of the Ministry, led by the Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov, came to the Alley of Honor and paid tribute to the dear memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, and laid wreaths and flowers in front of his grave. The memory of prominent ophthalmologist scientist, academician Ms. Zarifa Aliyeva was also honored and flowers were laid on her grave.
Then the Alley of Martyrs was visited, the memory of the sons of the Motherland who died for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was commemorated, flowers were placed on their graves.
The meeting held in the administrative building of the Ministry of Emergency Situations began with the playing of the National Anthem.
At the event, first, a film on "Heydar Aliyev and the safety of the population" prepared by the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in connection with the 100th anniversary of the National Leader was shown.
The meeting was also informed about the order of the Minister of Emergency Situations on measures to encourage employees who distinguished themselves in the service.
In the end, an appeal to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, was accepted on behalf of the meeting participants.
