The minister said an office was established regarding the preparations for the World Chess Cup 2015.
“An action plan is being developed. There is no problem in this regard. Major work will start on the eve of the competition. Groups arrive in the country in connection with a Formula 1 Grand Prix to be held in Baku . The main issue is the replacement of asphalt," added the minister.
The minister mentioned that though much time is left before the UEFA Euro 2020 games , working groups are carrying out relevant works.
The European Games is great testing for athletes, Rahimov noted.
"12 sports at the Baku 2015 will offer qualification opportunities for RIO 2016. A year was left before these competitions. The Games is a good opportunity for the athletes in terms of their preparation for the competitions psychologically”, the minister noted.
