Baku – APA. In order to prevent drivers from exceeding the speed limit, additional barriers have been installed in all sport facilities of the first European Games, including the Athletes’ Village.
Chief Operating Officer of Baku European Games Operations Committee (BEGOC), Simon Clegg made the remarks at a press conference on Sunday, apasports.az reported.
“At every major sporting event the system gradually comes into action in the early days. The transport system is organized at a high level. After the incident with the Austrian athletes, all transport matters are under control. Additional barriers were installed to prevent overspeed. All drivers were again recommended to comply with safety rules,” said Clegg.
