The Rasht-Astara railway contract will be signed soon, said Amin Taraffo, head of the International Affairs Center at Iran’s Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, APA reports, citing Tasnim.
“This week, an important trilateral meeting between Iran, Russia, and Azerbaijan will be held in Baku to develop cooperation within the North-South Corridor. The issue of finalizing the commercial contract between the Iranian company and the Russian company as the contractor of the Rasht-Astara railway, is ongoing. It is expected that the commercial contract will be signed soon and the project will enter the implementation phase,” he said.
