The 7th International Transport and Logistics Business Forum “New Silk Road” was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (MDDT) told APA-Economics.
Azerbaijan was represented by a delegation led by Rahman Hummatov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, at the international event. Strengthening international transport cooperation, developing transport corridors, and realizing regional logistics potential were the main topics discussed at the forum.
Within the framework of the forum, a panel session on "Transport Connectivity and Synchronization of Transport Corridors" and the 8th meeting of the transport ministers of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States were held. In addition, a meeting of the heads of delegations of the countries of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TMTM) took place.
Several important documents were signed at the international event. These include an action plan to eliminate existing bottlenecks on the railway segment of the TMTM route, a protocol on the meeting of delegations along the Trans-Caspian route, and a communiqué on the outcomes of the 8th meeting of the transport ministers of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
