700 schools will get access to the Internet in Azerbaijan next year

Baku. Ilhama Isabalayeva - APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s Ministry of Education has begun to set up a DATA center to coordinate the provision of schools with the Internet access.
The Ministry of Educationâ€™s Officer for the Informatization of Education Samir Mammadov said all necessary equipment has been ordered for delivery.
According to him, 10-15% or about 200 of secondary schools will get access to the DATA Center by the end of this year.
Besides, about 500 schools will be provided with the Internet next year.
He noted that all schools will access the Internet by 2012 within the scope of the State Program for Informatization of Education.
