A total of 79 human remains were discovered and exhumed in January-August 2026, APA reports.
This was reflected in the summary information released by the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons.
It was noted that in January-August of this year, the identities of 57 missing persons were identified, while the remains of 64 people were handed over to their families and buried.
Currently, 3,682 people are still considered missing.
