Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, during his speech at the SCO Plus meeting, has called for reforms at the UN, APA reports.
Shehbaz Sharif said that the world is going through a period of unprecedented change and turmoil. According to him, the UN needs reform in order to operate more effectively.
The Prime Minister noted that Pakistan has actively contributed to international peace over the past two years.
He emphasized that the Islamabad Memorandum signed between the US and Iran was one of the best ways to end the conflict in the Gulf.
Shehbaz Sharif stressed that the Mecca agreement has strengthened the prospects for peace in the region. He also said that the international community should take active steps to prevent the oppression of the Palestinian people.
