A fire has broken out on a train in Shamkir, APA's local correspondent reports.
The fire was recorded in one of the cars of a freight train traveling from Georgia to Azerbaijan in the territory of Shamkir station.
According to preliminary information, the fire broke out due to smoldering sulfur powder in the 15th car of the 35-car freight train.
Fire engines and personnel of the Shamkir District State Fire Protection Unit of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were immediately dispatched to the scene.
The fire was extinguished within a short period of time, and the affected car and other cars were protected.
Employees of the relevant agencies were dispatched to the scene.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
