Bahrain condemned an Iranian attack on two tankers belonging to the United Arab Emirates' ADNOC as they crossed the Strait of Hormuz, calling it a serious threat to regional security and maritime navigation, Iran International reports.
Bahrain's Foreign Ministry on Friday described the incident as an "Iranian terrorist attack" and said it violated international law and rules governing freedom of navigation.
The ministry expressed full solidarity with the UAE and said it supported measures taken by Abu Dhabi to protect its security and vital interests.
