United States President Donald Trump's envoy Jared Kushner plans to travel to Israel next week to hold talks regarding the current situation in the Gaza Strip, APA reports citing Axios.
According to the report, Kushner's visit comes amid scepticism among the Israeli regime about the American plans for Gaza, particularly ahead of the election in October. He is said to travel with a "high representative" of the Gaza Board of Peace, Nickolay Mladenov, and may also reportedly visit other Middle Eastern countries to talk to regional leaders.
"We see eye-to-eye on the strategic goal, but Israel has expressed some doubts about the plan and we want to talk to them in order to make sure we are coordinated," a US official cited in the report said.
