Former assistant prosecutor sues Azerbaijanâ€™s General Prosecutor

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov â€“ APA. Former employee of the prosecutorâ€™s office filed a charge against General Prosecutor Zakir Garalov. Plaintiff, former assistant prosecutor of Absheron district Tofig Aghajanov told APA that despite he was dismissed three years ago, he hasnâ€™t still taken the order of his resignation. Aghajanov noted that general prosecutor ordered to dismiss him and he went to the law to settle the issue in legal form. He also underlined his claim was being investigated by Baku Economic Court â„–1.

Baku Economic Court â„–1 confirmed the fact to APA. It was said that the abovementioned claim is reviewed by judge Ilham Ahmadov. Several trials have been already held on this case. General Prosecutorâ€™s Office presented the copy of order on dismissal of former assistant prosecutor to the court. According to the order, Aghajanov was dismissed from the prosecutorâ€™s office by the order signed on June 1, 2009 for the actions unsuitable with his official duties because he didnâ€™t assist the investigation concealing materials about the criminals who were his relatives. The court will pass final decision on April 16.

The General Prosecutorâ€™s Office didnâ€™t comment on the issue.

Aghajanov didnâ€™t assist the investigation of terrorist attack in Azerbaijan State Oil Academy on April 30, 2009.

Aghajanov told APA that he was not personally familiar and didnâ€™t have any relations with Farda Gadirov, who committed mass murder in the Oil Academy: â€œ15-20 years ago my stepbrother was married with Gadirovâ€™s sister for a short time. I gave all necessary evidences to the investigation on it. I didnâ€™t have information on person whom I donâ€™t knowâ€.

Georgian citizen Gadirov Farda Asad, born in 1980, who killed 12 people and wounded 13 in Azerbaijan State Oil Academy at Dilara Aliyeva street, 227, on April 30, 2009, was Aghajanovâ€™s relative. Former assistant prosecutor was dismissed from the prosecutorâ€™s office because he didnâ€™t give consistent information to the investigation.
