Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Davit Khudatyan, Chairman of the Urban Development Committee Yeghiazar Vardanyan, and other officials have visited the Syunik (Zangezur) region, APA reports, citing the Armenian government's press service.
It was reported that Armenian officials visited the Syunik region on October 21 to discuss on-site organizational issues related to the launch of infrastructure design work under the TRIPP project and determine the further progress of the project.
It should be noted that Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated that construction work under the TRIPP project could begin in late 2026 or early 2027. He said that early 2027 was a more realistic timeframe. It is reported that land clearing, technical assessment, and other preparatory work are currently underway.
