Automated tax declaration pre-filling system to be launched for entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan plans to launch a mechanism for automatically pre-filling tax declarations for entrepreneurs in the coming days, Samir Khaligov, Acting Head of the Main Department of Tax Risk Management of the State Tax Service, said at the conference titled "Digital Financial Ecosystem: A New Stage in Governance" held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.

According to him, work is currently underway to expand the mechanism for pre-filling tax declarations, which is already applied to simplified tax declarations.

"The system automatically pre-fills the relevant sections of the declaration based on available data. Taxpayers then check and confirm this information," S. Khaligov noted.

He stated that work is also underway to enable the submission of tax declarations through a mobile application. This innovation is particularly intended for micro-entrepreneurs with limited access to desktop computers.

S. Khaligov added that data exchange between state institutions is also being expanded as part of digitalization. Currently, the State Tax Service receives data from 45 state institutions and provides data to 42 state institutions.

According to him, the integration of information systems will help reduce the documentation burden on entrepreneurs, simplify tax administration, and improve the speed of services.
