Azerbaijan has begun implementing the Digital Public Finance Information System, established to digitalize public financial management, Finance Minister Sahil Babayev said at the conference titled "Digital Financial Ecosystem: A New Stage in Governance" held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
According to the minister, the implementation of several components and subcomponents of the system, established by a relevant decree of President Ilham Aliyev, has begun during the current year.
Sahil Babayev noted that the main goal is not to digitalize public financial services separately, but to integrate them within a unified electronic portal and digital ecosystem.
"The Unified Digital Public Finance Information System enables data-driven decision-making, forecasting, and analysis. The integration of various subsystems and the interconnection of data open up broad opportunities for the implementation of public financial policy," the minister emphasized.
He added that significant results have already been achieved in several areas regarding the implementation of the system.
