Criminal case materials regarding deputy chairman of Mur-Ay Ltd and others submitted to court

The materials of the criminal case have been submitted to Baku Court of Grave Crimes. The preliminary court hearing has been scheduled for April 10.

Head of Mur-Ay Ltd Huseynov Elkhan Balakhan, deputy director of â€œAzerbaijanâ€ printing house Mammadbeyli Galib Mammad and others organized a criminal group swindling ordinary citizens of Baku selling same apartments in Yeni Yasamal residential area of the city to different people and collecting money from each of them. The company faced with charges according to article 178.3.2 (swindle with large amount of damages) on November 4, 2010 under the investigation launched by the grave crime investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The investigators identified that the construction company committed illegal actions against resident of Baku City Guliyeva Elmira Tofig and others swindling large amount of money. 820 citizens were interrogated over the case and recognized as sufferers.

According to the decision of the Sabayil district court, the Ministry of Taxes was urged to inspect the fulfillment of tax legislation by the company.
On February 14, 2011, members of the organized criminal group - deputy director of â€œAzerbaijanâ€ printing house Mammadbeyli Galib Mammad, Mur-Ay Ltdâ€™s deputy chairman Sultanov Beybala Gabil, Mur-Ay Ltdâ€™s accountant Mukhtarov Novruz Shukur, director of the company Elkhan Huseynovâ€™s unofficial assistant Sohbatov Vagif Mehdikhan, sale manager Agayev Shahriyar Meykhosh and Safarov Seyfaddin Adalat were put under restraint by the court decision facing charges under the above-mentioned article.

The court made decision about the pre-trial detention of Mur-Ay Ltdâ€™s director Huseynov Elkhan Balakhan under article 178.3.2, but he avoided the investigation and therefore was declared wanted.
