"Azerbaijan and Armenia have mutually recognized each other's territorial integrity, with the territory of Armenia being 29,800 square kilometers and the territory of Azerbaijan being 86,600 square kilometers, "Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said as he addressed the opening ceremony of the Tbilisi International Silk Road Forum, APA's Georgia bureau reports.

Pashinyan noted that Azerbaijan and Armenia were among the 12 countries that signed the Almaty Declaration, and as parties to this declaration, both countries recognized each other's territorial integrity, sovereignty, and the inviolability of the then existing borders - administrative borders.

Armenian PM underlined that after the signing of the declaration, the administrative borders between the republics of the Soviet Union became state borders.

"We hope that based on these principles, we will sign peace and relations restoration agreements with Azerbaijan in the coming months,” Pashinyan added.
