United States President Donald Trump said the US is now "more powerful" than the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and predicted oil prices would fall sharply after the November 3 midterm elections, breakingthenews.net reports.
"We are more powerful now than OPEC, and prices right after this very important election on November 3rd will be plummeting," Trump said at the Republican National Committee (RNC) Midterm Convention in Dallas.
Trump also claimed America's adversaries were hoping Republicans would lose the election so they could negotiate with "weak Democrats."
