"The benefits of investment in education are not limited to the education system alone," Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev said at a conference titled "Promoting Global Solidarity through Cooperation for Humanitarian Support and Development," dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijan International Development Agency, APA reports.
He said Azerbaijan considers education an important component of international cooperation and consistently works to turn this approach into concrete opportunities for young people from partner countries.
"In this regard, one of the most important mechanisms is our international education grant programs.
During the 2018–2023 academic years, special education grant programs for citizens of member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Non-Aligned Movement provided nearly 200 foreign students with the opportunity to pursue higher education in Azerbaijan," the minister noted.
