Total volume of transfers from Azerbaijan's SOFAZ to state budget nears AZN 167 billion

As of September 30, 2025, the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) has transferred a total of 166,792.7 million manats to the state budget, APA-Economics reports, citing the State Oil Fund.

Note that during January-September of this year, within the framework of the execution of SOFAZ’s 2025 budget, 10,860.8 million manats were transferred to the state budget.

Additionally, as of September 30, 2025, SOFAZ’s assets amounted to USD 70,161.7 million, reflecting a 16.9% increase compared to the beginning of the current year (60,031.4 million USD).

Recall that SOFAZ was established on December 29, 1999. The Fund is a special institution that ensures the accumulation of revenues from oil and gas, their efficient management, and preservation for future generations. SOFAZ is an off-budget, separate state institution. Transparency is one of the main principles of SOFAZ’s activities. During this period, SOFAZ has developed institutionally at a high level and has become an internationally recognized financial organization.
